In Science Magazine today, peer-reviewed research showed Exxon scientists predicted global warming with incredible accuracy as early as 1977.

Also #ExxonKnew the ‘carbon budget’ for holding warming below 2°C.

They chose to deliberately spread disinformation and climate denial to continue making massive profits instead of inform the public of the danger.

This should make the lawsuits easier.

@ChristopherJM bollocks. Scholz just keeps inventing excuses for not providing tanks to Ukraine. Total failure of leadership and political cowardice by Scholz.

It seems what he has in mind is to expand the current criminalization of anti-war speech. So, I guess it would mean even more police monitoring of social media. (He’s very upset about emigres continuing to earn rental income on homes they still own back in Russia.)

State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin has proposed confiscating the property of the “lowlife” Russians who emigrated after the Feb. 24 invasion of Ukraine. He wants to take their stuff as “compensation” for the damage they’ve inflicted on the Motherland. t.me/vv_volodin/594

Cervical cancer rates dropped 65% from 2012 to 2019 among women in their early 20s after a generation of young women were vaccinated against human papillomavirus, or HPV, for the first time. Now if the boys would get vaccinated, too, maybe we could start to talk about elimination....

1/ Yevgeny Prigozhin's apparently premature announcement of Soledar's capture has reportedly led to a desperate push by Wagner to make it a reality. Wagner is fighting without regard for casualties, not just to gain Soledar, but for Prigozhin's reputation. ⬇️

@SocraticEthics good interview and he is right on pretty much all counts. Putin understands only one thing - power.
He is a schoolyard bully and any "deescalation" only encourages him to do worse. As Georgia, Syria, and Ukraine 2014 showed. US is finally realizing this. Western Europe (Scholz in particular) needs to learn this lesson too much as they don't want to.

Some 11yr old racist child told my lovely 11yr old daughter to "go back to Africa" & kept mocking her beautiful Black skin. They're both born in Canada, & this is their home. The difference is, while I teach my daughter about a beautiful world, the other child is taught to hate.
