Police call for ban on anonymous pay-as-you-go phones

theguardian.com/society/2020/j

We're in 'dangerous dogs' territory here!

The current fascist Tory government, apparently much beloved by Hungary's Victor Orban - New Labour provided a grotesque lead-in - will do anything in its power to erode civil liberties and tirelessly advance the surveillance state. Recently It tried pornography and failed spectacularly. Now (surprise, surprise) it's back to the easy meat - DRUGS!

A police statement independent of the Home Office is possible, but is relatively rare in my experience.

The 'County Lines' issue is both real and serious, affecting the lives of many young people. The Police are on the frontline. But there's a different way forward, namely the decriminalisation and appropriate regulation of drugs with the lead being provided by evidence-based medical research.
