@hikenwoodwork Just some minwax polyurethane.
All done with this one. Needed a new entryway table since we changed things with the new floor. Made from willow a neighbor cut down. Rough cut with a chainsaw, then made to resemble a table. Just polyurethane over it. #woodworking
Future top of a sofa table. Dead ash I cut down last year (fuck you emerald ash borer). Rough slab milled from the log with chainsaw mill. Ran it through the portable planer a few times then cut it at 9x46". Needs a bit more work. Some future legs and braces snuck into the frame as well. (#woodworking, kinda, I just slap crap together)
Dropping my first Milky Way pic that I took in July 2020. The bright stars are Jupiter and Saturn.
Yes, I'm still new here and only using cheap DSLR.
I was experimenting at first and somehow fell deeply in love with space.
I love moon and stargazing since I was a kid, but never took it seriously until 2020.

@benholmen Yup.
@benholmen And, yeah, I could use all kinds of fancy tools 😄
@benholmen It's not a new idea. https://www.erockets.biz/newway-rocket-kits/
@Alaskanviking Sure! Could have went with unhealthy sandwich and a cookie....but didn't!
New rocket project. Made a forward centering ring and nosecone bulkhead out of 1/8" birch ply. Got sick of round tubes 😄 #rocketry #modelrockets
@catsofmastodon Yes, all is well :)
@freemo Occasionally slow.
Fins on the Doorknob. Fillet work on the upscale Big Daddy. Doorknob will only get internal fillets, trying to stay scale-ish and all. #rocketry #highpowerrocketry
@benholmen #catsofmastodon Oops, I did an at instead of hashtag. Yeah, they don't exactly enjoy it, but they hate car rides too.
Had to take the cats to the vet for a routine checkout. They're noisy when they're moving; but that's better than being inside a car with them. Also, Rosie trying to hide... #BikeTooter @catsofmastodon
@ploafmaster It's easy to overdress! Once you're moving, you'll be ok. Don't forget keeping toes sufficiently insulated though :)
@Hillman Nice! I also have acquired a nice scroll saw and found a Honda-Engined water pump that just needed a new carburetor. $20 and that was running again. Amazing what people throw out that just needs a little proper care or simple fixes.
