When I read a post that takes a lot of words to make a simple point, with a lot of extraneous words, I'm now suspicious that the author was actually ChatGPT, asked to fluff out an idea to maximise word count.

@Pat So far, but who knows how accurate the data will be that the CCP will provide. The US is indeed a mess, given so many reasonably stubbornly unvax'd, but China isn't really in any better shape, given effectively no background immunity and the less Sinovax, and which a lot of their elderly haven't had.

China's abandoning of its zero COVID policy (effectively letting it rip) was inevitable, and now Omicron is ripping through a population that if vaccinated, has the subpar local vaccine. This won't be pretty. Xi is going to need an invasion to distract from justifiable anger.
