In your hateful neighbor wallet.
There may be a cultural divide here: I mostly work for government funded projects, to the point I have never had to put an ad on one of my projects. Our clients frequently to require using some libraries, some in-house developed, some third-party.
About libraries, I try use them only when the cost-benefit ratio is very clear.
For example, I avoid premade UI component toolkits, because in practice they are a bit of a scam: they are helpful at first, but in the long run they may be a terrible burden.
Pity my main client is starting to enforce one of them (a third party paid one, if you can believe it), as a (probably misguided) way to enforce consistent UX.

You may remember a while ago, we asked people to visit a little web app that grabbed their viewport sizes.
We had an idea in mind for a visualisation and article that today, we've just pushed live.
The ideal viewport doesn't exist https://viewports.fyi/
Love this framing from ArrowJS:
"**At its core — ArrowJS is an admission that while we developers were busy falling in love with fancy UI frameworks, JavaScript itself got good — like *really* good."**
All these red states are now boasting about how they are withdrawing from the American Library Association. They aren’t just satisfied with banning books, they want to get rid of the places that keep and lend them, too. The Christian Right is on the march.
Carl Sagan once warned us of the “dumbing down” of America. He warned of a time when our “critical faculties in decline, unable to distinguish between what feels good and what's true, we slide, almost without noticing, back into superstition and darkness...”
That time is upon us. We must do all we can to prevent that darkness from taking hold.
