@freemo, I probably should have rephrased my comment. I was more referring to areas of research. Research often found in science journals won't often see the light of day in mainstream publications, unless it's about cancer or related to some kind of pandemic.

Does anyone have any pet topics not talked about? I'm not talking about fringe science. But science that isn't sexy to the mainstream.
