Sorry for the insanely late response to this, work's been super busy for me.
I actually like Karl Popper, too, I consider him a genius. Falsification is an extremely important concept IMHO.
@neverfadingwood refactoring some React code this morning, looking to be a productive day. You?
@Surasanji late response but I agree, my son has recently started watching these and actually agrees with them on some things. Despite my best efforts he still believes it's possible the earth is flat 😩
@museus@freespeech.firedragonstudios.com @sathariel @freemo so the objection to "God" is not necessarily that what "God" is not important, more in that "God" is not specific enough to be able to discuss efficiently?
All of this series is amazing — highly recommend: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyDKR4FG3Yw&list=PLDDGPdw7e6Ag1EIznZ-m-qXu4XX3A0cIz
@freemo apologies for asking a seemingly silly question — however, does this not assume that God is everything and not a separate entity? What if He isn't everything?
@freemo @Surasanji @cm interesting perspective, but what is the point of religion if not the pursuit of knowledge of the divine?
@freemo @Surasanji @cm curious what your perspective is re: God (I'm a new member, but I promise I am not trolling just trying to get to know people)
I'm learning more about mathematics, computer science and other science topics as I have time.
