By the way, in this video, or maybe in another one, Glenn points out that one of the justifications bin Laden gives in the letter for 9/11 attacks (i.e., that, because the US have free elections, everyone was responsible for the actions of their government and that made them an acceptable target) is the same one the Israeli government uses for the genocide in Gaza (i.e., that a part of the population, not even a majority, voted for Hamas in 2005, so they're all Hamas and that's why they should all be blown to smithereens, children and women included).

@thor The hypocrisy of The Guardian (and everyone else to a degree) is that they have hosted that letter for more than twenty years, but removed it just when people became interested in it, which proves that they only had it there for virtue-signalling points.

Wow, even archive.org have removed access to The Guardian's translation of bin Laden's “Letter to America”. I thought they had only one job and it was _the exact opposite_ of that.

Ahora en serio, si los nacionalistas creen que lo que hicieron está bien, ¿por qué buscar la amnistía? Cuando yo hago algo bien no busco el perdón de nadie. Tal como yo lo veo, la amnistía está mal por ambas partes, pero el gobierno podría haber sido más listo y haberlo vendido como una bajada de pantalones de Puigdemont, que quería librarse de la acción de la justicia a toda costa, magnanimidad del estado español y bla, bla, bla. ¿Acaso creyeron que Junts no les daría los votos si decían eso? Se los iban a dar sí o sí, porque no se van a ver en otra igual en su vida.

@coolboymew I liked _Hidamari Sketch_ also, but I haven't seen that particular OVA. Judging by the title, you'd be starting from the end, but it ran for several seasons.

@coolboymew _Natsu no Arashi_ was pretty good and the soundtracks of both seasons were great.

Also, this is one of the first (if not the actual first) places where I heard Yakushimaru Etsuko's voice.

@hund You can't start a sentence with ‘but’ because then it would not be a complete sentence (that is, if you isolate it from the rest of the discourse, it makes no sense by itself). A ‘but’ only works in opposition to something else, which is why it should be preceded by whatever it's opposing and separated from it by a comma or a semicolon.

Of course, when I say “you can't” I really mean “you shouldn't if you want to adhere strictly to a correct syntax.“ Informally, we all understand stuff like: “But I want candy, mom!”

@veer66 The fastest one that I have is an A8-7600. It still works like a charm, but I've been thinking lately about buying something more modern in order to assemble another PC and make it work as a standalone server for my projects. Maybe next year.
