I was listening to The Velvet Underground's Heroin and I have to say that Moe Tucker is the worst drummer I've ever heard. Seven minutes of song and she can't get the beat right at any point. The closest she gets is when she becomes so confused that she stops playing for about thirty seconds.

I have been thinking about writing a webapp that would enable QOTO to become the first "open, distributed, scientific journal".. I am still thinking about how I am going to go about it but the idea would be a scientific journal that anyone, regardless of credentials or pre-approval, can submit articles and peer-review and ultimately the acceptance or rejection of an article will happen without a centralized authority.
In all liklihood acceptance will be "fuzzy" in that it will be up to the reader to decide if the groups which approved of the article through peer review have sufficient credentials that you trust them. So the key will be in designing a way to make that work.
Ideas are welcome of course.

C# (and java, among others) are designed in such a way that an IDE is not optional, and therefore, in my eyes, any project written in C# has failed organisationally before the first line of code has been written.

How could Nichijou have so little success? I loved it when it premiered ten years ago, and now that I've just revisited its 26 episodes again, I think it's one of the best anime ever made. Animation, writing, voice acting, songs, characters... Everything is top notch.

YouTube recommended me to watch a video by an anonymous Japanese lady and I decided to watch it out of curiosity. It was supposed to be a vlog-type of video, but, as I was watching, I was getting more and more angry at it, because the video was called Lazy Sunday, but the planning and the editing clearly took several days.
“This shit's fake, goddammit! How come—400k views!? Seriously!? Four hundred thousand people got duped by this? Come on!” And here's when I got curious. What could she offer them that was so enticing? She doesn't even talk, nor show her face. And it's not like they're short videos. Every one of them takes away 20 minutes from your life that you will never get back.
As Julian Assange said, curious eyes never run dry, so, in order to solve the mystery, I decided to watch her latest video, which was about her buying food, cooking it and eating it. After a few minutes, I found myself thinking: “Hey, that's a good idea!,” “You could do that!?” and laughing at her wit, because she doesn't talk, but she writes subtitles and they're pretty funny. So, to make a long story short, I am now subscribed to that shit.
Two people have entered my channel on Libera.Chat! And stayed long enough for me to be able to greet them!

I have encountered more image descriptions on Mastodon in 24 hours than I have in Twitter in a couple of years. Seriously. I'm not exaggerating.
