How americans handle every ideological position they have:

1) The thing is bad

2) Anyone who says the thing isnt bad is bad

3) any statement that makes the thing sound less bad is the same as saying it isnt bad

4) All statements that make the thing sound bad are good

5) We must make the thing sound as bad as possible to be good people

@freemo “I’d rather you agreed with me than were well informed, so I’ll only tell you the facts that support my position. That way you can feel like you came to your own conclusion based on the facts, but you really just believe what I want you to.”

@khird every damn time!

I know they are out there googling up the “facts” and every time they see a link that disagrees with them they just skip over those.

@freemo Reminds me of an old xkcd punchline: You don't use science to show that you're right; you use science to become right.
