@freeschool This is not a blog.. this is **micro-blogging** huge difference..
> pics on other instances show up as sensitive because of that? (no idea)
Yep.. you make it look like there are dead people on the image there
@kreyren
yes was aware, though also I'm suer I could learn what that is since it's not really clear or stated (maybe doesn't need to be not sure, I just use whatever either way).
I guess one way to touch on that is say it's just writing less but then I'm fighting myself to even write that because some people prefer less and this instance allows more which works well for me and others. So a mix of effect happening...
And don't want to sound like people can dictate this or that as length or frequency since there is choice to follow or not, filter (if you find it) and generally overlook long things. I blame others :)
Not sure what you mean by dead people on image- this is getting interesting!
There is also an sensitive filter I think put on qoto users perhaps since our privacy and liberalness is different to others in Federation... which is why sometimes it's banned or CW put on because of different levels of policy... I don't know if it's related to all CW I set on this side as I don't add ever "Mark as Sensitive" myself or intend any of the effect imposed by other instances or when importing/ previewing content.
@freeschool e.g. https://twitter.com/kreyren
See my Leave Twitter posts
@kreyren lol I don't use twitter (guess you still do!)
and after that clever but true remark can't you make a pic instead of sending people to twitter (^~^)
(I'm getting the same feelings again from you using youtube because of the convenience of embedding links thumbnails (^~^)
@freeschool TLDR: Following trends and adjusting marketing and engagement strategy to reach your goal..
In this case people leaving twitter and joining fediverse.
@freeschool i am not compromising myself, but i am saying that you lack basic understanding of marketing namely "engagement" and "reach" to achieve your goals with the posts.
> People know about USA BigTech but still use it...
Lack of education and technological understanding why is why am i posting these
> Anyway maybe your way is working, how do you measure it?
By measuring the engagement on your posts: Responses > Boosts > Favorites
Or if you have any way of tracking the users then you can figure out your reach that way more accurately
@freeschool how else do you measure the engagement?
> what to do even with willing people once we're here as a small or large group?
having an action plan so that you don't waste people's time
@kreyren
Action plan of course but working out 'how' is the hard part because many don't seem to know after asking many others... OK SURE getting subscribers (even millions which already people already have) but then....?
I think it's a tough nut and at the moment I can't open that link to know what that is so maybe later...
@freeschool i think that you are overthinking it, the action plan is usually trivial.
e.g. In the shown post my action plan was to discuss the medical condition of putler which happened.
@freeschool practical example of what am i trying to teach you:
@kreyren
Sorry small 'clever' joke while I remember it....
" Marketing indeed. But who is marketing who!"
and
"Be careful of which who you are mostly engaged with (the system) as you are also giving data to them about your and others by being there " (double-edge sword I admit)
Above doesn't apply to you but just on topic some humour since we dealt with this ok and it's always work in progress... best we can
@freeschool I manage that through threat modeling
@kreyren
Have to take your word for it which I will.
To some extent I don't value the clicking of button like that and makes your own presence their cheap - but if you believe and know then I don't want to claim anything or rain on your efforts.
I know myself measuring it helps like taking people personally to sign up page and actually seeing they signed up or something like that so it's not just the appearance and slightly aesthetic clicking and support of nice things only that way (which is might not be but probably is until people catch on or start *really* caring and clicking signup instead of just boost / fav).
And the next question or stage I am interested in is:
"what to do even with willing people once we're here as a small or large group?". Any idea for that?
