The way I love putting it is "The best way to be a 10x engineer is to make 10 other people twice as productive. And it's the only way you'll ever be a 1000x engineer."

Just a reminder that we don’t have to argue with people on the Internet when they’re wrong.

I hate drivers that creep up to crosswalks so much. It’s so easy for a driver to slip their foot from the brake (or clutch) and hit a pedestrian. Just stop. You can wait a few seconds.

How not to cover Trump's 2024 campaign

“Even if the press is not interviewing Trump or another politician — such as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who is too afraid to face reporters one on one — this strategy of having hard evidence ready and using it well has become essential to reporting on their statements and campaigns. Again, we are now annotators.”

@alexkgellis This is one of those baffling situations in which, because it's a blind curve, I do clearly take the lane. Yet many drivers pass me anyway, even though that means pulling fully into the opposite lane--and potentially into the path of on-coming traffic.

I've seen so many narrow escapes from head-on collisions.

Truly a head shaker.

“Amsterdam is preparing to lower its speed limits to 30km/hr [18mph]. The city will install almost 5k new speed signs, adjust 170 traffic lights, and take other ‘infrastructural measures.’ It is also launching the slogan: ‘We drive 30 for each other.’”

Did you know that anyone can ask the @nysdmv to "re-evaluate" a driver if they believe the driver is not "qualified to drive" because of poor "driving skills and abilities"? Here's ther form to use if you know any reckless drivers:

Apropos of nothing I would like to make it known that the longer you let things live in your head rent free the more likely you are to randomly jump to conclusions where people are out to get you, regardless of how smart you are otherwise

A reminder to all journalists: most in the GOP don't MIND a government shut down because a core of their philosophy is disemboweling government and then complaining how government doesn't work. The impacts to people, the economy, and the environment don't matter to them.

It's not just that Musk spent $44 billion on Twitter and turned it into $8 billion. It's that he has so fucking much money that he doesn't care.

Love to get off the bus and get nearly bowled over by some shitty driver trying to save half a second. Fuck you dude.
