maybe the problem with trans kids playing sports isn't that they might have an advantage (they don't), but that we as a society put so much value in being the better than other at something that should be about fun and play at least for children.

@louiscouture really? No advantage at all?

At this point I can't tell if people are just being sarcastic or not. Like, I can understand being frustrated that trans kids aren't being allowed to participate in highschool sports (at a non-professional level) in which, as you said, it should be about having fun. But if you're participating in it at pro-level and making lots of $$$ then I think it's more than appropriate to figure out if a person has an unfair advantage, and I think in the case of , let's say a biological male who is a woman participating with mostly biological females then that would be an advantage and thus unfair for the other biological females in that sport.

If these distinctions didn't make any difference we would not have segregated sports into male/female dominated categories and they would perform similarly at a professional level. I. E we'd have females that can run as fast as Usain Bolt...

Btw I don't mean to come across as mean spirited transphobe... Happy to take notes and learn but I'd have to see some kind of logical explanation.

@zpartacoos from what I’ve heard it’s because hormonal therapy reduce your strength
