Dinner today:: reheated day-old cheese pizza
-first, I added just seasoned hot dog slices and Sriracha before reheating
--it resulted in plenty of flavor but still tasted preheated
-second, I tried a plain cheese pizza with added cheese and butter on the crust
--the crust improved and wasn't so tough, but still tasted somewhat preheated
--the body of the pizza was fully recovered thanks to the added cheese
++Will have to redo first attempt with added cheese first before topping with condiments
++Butter has had a positive effect on the crust, but still needs improvement. Perhaps an alternate method is still possible?
@lucifargundam How do you reheat it? Microwave or oven?
I know some people who prefer to eat their day-old pizza cold. Straight out of the fridge.
I tend to not add anything else on it when reheating in the oven. I mean, it tasted good before, it'll taste good again.
@trinsec
Despite my stovetop use, I do try to minimize my oven usage during the summer as it'll heat up the whole house. I've been focusing on microwave usage atm because of the heat waves.
@lucifargundam It sounds like you only have to put the food outside to heat them up, heh.
But with microwave you can't do much about the taste, alas. Maybe an airfryer could still help, but I've not used mine to reheat pizza with.
@lucifargundam Not to insult you: everyone can eat what he prefers in his house.
You should consider adding a content warning for these kinds of pizzas with sriracha, ketchup, butter and so on.
You should think about the heartbroken Italians looking at this.
My advice would be to finish the whole pizza so that you don't need to reheat it; otherwise just heat it up as is in a small oven, without adding anything.
