-most large chain fastfood places sell you food you wouldn't want to eat if you learned how they make it.
=you're better off customizing your own microwave meals. It saves you time, $, tastes better and you will know why your homes ice cream machine is broken without dealing with other people.

I would argue it does at least with the premise of waiting in long lines at the drive-thru. Some places are known to have 5-10 min waits. Add that to how long it takes you to go to-from the joint and you could've made yourself a home cooked meal.
Taking the wait time/commute out of the equation, and the tables turn in favor of fastfood.
