Made sugar cookies and brownies tonight. Figured if I needed to heat up the place- might as well make something while I'm at it. Two birds with one stone kinda thinking. #baking #bakingsunday

Gingerbread::::

3 cups all-purpose flour
▢ 3/4 cup dark brown sugar , packed
▢ 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
▢ 1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon
▢ 1 Tablespoon ground ginger
▢ 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
▢ 1/2 teaspoon salt
▢ 12 Tablespoons butter , room temperature, cut into 12 pieces
▢ 3/4 cup molasses (dark molasses)
▢ 2 Tablespoons milk

Another recipe::::

1 cup white sugar
½ cup unsalted butter
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 ¾ teaspoons baking powder
½ cup milk

1 cup unsalted butter
2/3 cup + 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 cups + 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla

Dinner tonight::
Fried chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes with gravy.

Made the gravy using a cup in the microwave. Came out too watery, so I'll use let water next time.

Leftover mashed potatoes didn't taste as good, so I added black pepper and shredded cheese.

tfw it's so cold outside, when you get inside- you heat up the electric teapot just to hold it while it's boiling...

I thought about giving out a public payphone # today and inviting Fedi to call me...

The thought lasted 5 seconds.

Today's breakfast

-make hole in center
-on medium heat, toast bread in pan with egg in hole, sprinkled with a palmful of cheese
-flip when cheese is melted
-add cheese to new side
