@lupyuen and another thing we need to learn is that if we invest there is always the potential of losses.. my finance teacher told me that if you do not have the risk taking ability and basically give up on the money you invested then you should not invest into anything.

@Nika2022 @lupyuen I think you can take a more measured perspective on that: different investments do have different levels of risk and most brokerages have loss-limiting mechanisms (e.g., stop-loss/-limit orders) you can set up in advance to prevent losing *all* your money in stocks

@2ck @lupyuen agreed, but a lot of people are always drawn for the higher-risk I return things. For me it's basically the lack of willing to even risk it.

@2ck @lupyuen also I think my teacher was just having a more pessimistic view to teach us the worst case scenario. Still a lot better approach then all the people who just hype up NFT and crypto in Twitter spaces and never tell you anything about the negative sides
