I met him a few times while I lived in Shanghai. In the evenings, he used to layout chips at the lobby lounge at a hotel next to my office. Firstly I was surprised that he did it himself, secondly I asked him why he opened in Shanghai rather than Singapore. Basically got the answer that "lacking talent in SG".

As a person, he is a really nice guy.

@lupyuen This feels like a knee jerk reaction more than anything else. Phones are far too useful (especially for young people away from their parents!) to put a blanket ban on like that, even if they can be problematic. Plus I bet phone use in classrooms is more of a symptom than the root issue itself.

I am not a fan of global bans in general but would support local school districts or states taking this option.
