BBC Analysis: Over half of LLM-generated news summaries have "significant issues"

>Fifty-one percent of responses were judged to have "significant issues" in at least one of these areas, the BBC found. Google Gemini fared the worst overall, with significant issues judged in just over 60 percent of responses, while Perplexity performed best, with just over 40 percent showing such issues.
>
>Accuracy ended up being the biggest problem across all four LLMs, with significant issues identified in over 30 percent of responses (with the "some issues" category having significantly more). That includes one in five responses where the AI response incorrectly reproduced "dates, numbers, and factual statements" that were erroneously attributed to BBC sources. And in 13 percent of cases where an LLM quoted from a BBC article directly (eight out of 62), the analysis found those quotes were "either altered from the original source or not present in the cited article."

I personally am not much impressed by 's salute. Not so much inconsistent with his other behaviour. But I am appalled by all those investors in Tesla Motors, who are unwilling to divest after this event. They are basically declaring that to them the risk of is not worth a profit loss (which I think would be fair to estimate at <5% of their portfolio).

And yes, people will quite literally die over this, because Trump has also just reinstated the federal death penalty. Again, a decision that normal circumstances would dominate public debate. He's hoping you, and the media, don't even notice...

On the day of the Georgian National Flag and the first day of national strike, we add an automated feed to civil.ge, one of the few English-speaking independent news agencies in Georgia. The purpose is to raise awareness about the struggle for #freedom in #Georgia

I guess bridging with bluesky currently this does not make much sense to lemmy users?

As I understand it, Lemmy users do not have public messages, so no contextless posts like on Mastodon or Bluesky. On the other hand BridgyFed does not support communities, as a community cannot follow it.

So the way I have been using federation via ActivityHub, following communities and posting from mastodon, cannot be done from bluesky.
