I have a feeling most Twitter refugees on Mastodon will be temporary. If it is anything like what happened when G+ shuttered. It'll be telling how many new accounts are inactive after a month has passed.
@marathon0 although I will not be going back to Twitter there is little to keep me here. The people I enjoy following are just not here.

It takes time and IMHO entirely worth it here. Use hashtags to find your genre of interest. Who knows, you might find more intelligent discourse on the Federation. There's more than Mastodon users on it.
@marathon0 I'll stick around if I find enough of the people I know here. (The lack of a network was the reason I didn't stick with Mastodon before.) If not, then ... Discord?
