Kleine greep uit de oogst van gisteren op de bloeiende Klimop. Behalve (zweef-)vliegen vind je er ook veel bijen en wespen. Het is een belangrijke voedselplant voor veel insecten, omdat er zo laat in het jaar nog zo veel te halen is. Geef Klimop dus vooral de gelegenheid om te bloeien.

Today I found this Heleomyzidae fly. Probably the more common Tephrochlamys rufiventris. Wonderful creature.
Omdat het leven best eens door een roze bril mag worden gezien,

Dit akelig prachtige en actuele gedicht schreef Mark Boog 10 jaar geleden al in NRC next.

I'm one of the many Twitter refugees, mainly known there for my macro pictures of flies and other insects. Using the site waarneming.nl the AI there can identify lots of the insects i've photographed. Last year I've also started to id flies that i've captures under the microscope.
I work as a trainer in programming languages such as Java, Javascript, Python and SQL. I'm also interested in data science and machine learning, reading and writing poetry, singing classical music, walking.
