@mc The world is declining in this direction and its a rampant problem in many places. It seems to be at its absolute worst in the USA, then secondly in english speaking countries. The rest of the world isnt immune to it either, but seems much less of a problem in most other areas (outside of perhaps some religious charlatan here and there).

@mc I think it goes way beyond that. When I am in the USA it feels like being in a psych ward. Almost everyone is so broken from being in a unhealthy culture of fear and judgement for so long they cant even reason or function sanely.
Other countries arent immune but they tend to have better mental health and a stronger focus on being accepting that it makes these problems much less rampant.
@mc Either way you are right its a problem everywhere. Just not tot he same degree everywhere.
