Predatory publishers keep exploiting public funds dedicated to research over and over again. It's greed over reason, profit over research, discrimination over openness and inclusively, oppression over choice. It's disgusting.

Firefox has over 200M monthly active users, and with any luck they’ll build better support for the fediverse into Firefox itself. With privatisation shareholder profit determines all the decisions & policies of these providers - not what is best for planet & people. If we as a society agree that these should just be realms for the common good, not for profit, then sustainable policies can be adopted swiftly, at every level

Twitter che per qualche ora bandisce i link ad altri social, Facebook che ti penalizza se metti link nei post e te li fa spostare nel primo commento, Instagram che li proibisce proprio tranne quello in bio… I link erano il fulcro del Web 1.0, per il Web 2.0 sono vestigia da eliminare? Ma è come tornare indietro alla logica dei canali televisivi; addio ipertesto, bentornata TV Sorrisi & Canzoni.
