@brewnoir Is your religious belief the only thing that gives your life meaning?
I enjoy my life for the most part. My family and friends make me happy, and I try to do the same for them. My work is satisfying and useful. When I do die—hopefully a long time from now—I expect to leave the world a better place than it was when I was born. Even if it’s not, I can take my last breath with the knowledge that the bad parts were none of my doing, and I contributed at least a little bit to the good. That’s plenty for me.
@medigoth for me without belief, all that meanless. Because as I'll die, all including this world will die with (for) me. Because all our hopes and senses dies with us. Otherwise there should be hereafter. And as I see harmony in created world, I understand that all humanities results should be harmonized as well. That means that the people like you who did, good things or wanna do them should get better place to live and see their results. Otherwise all that efforts, looks meanless or not very important. Because if you save someones life, someone other will save yours, but anyway everyone will die in the end... But if you belief, that someone saved by you can keep staying alive and do good deeds to deserv the paradise that means that you saved much more than life that can stop anytime.
