Selling physical artworks makes no sense if you compare it to the software industry or even to real estate investing where most profits come in the form of rent, not ownership transfer. Leasing artworks instead of selling them appears to be the logical solution but it's not very practical yet. I'm looking for ways to standardize this practice. One aspect would be to use a well-known, battle-tested lease contract similar to the well-known free software licenses (GPL, BSD, ...). Any pointers or suggestions? I want to end artist exploitation.

Candy cap #mushrooms in the neighborhood. The owner of the patch had no idea! They're very fragrant mushrooms once dried. Their smell is reminiscent of maple syrup. They go for about $1/g on eBay ($30/oz)!

I'm translating an #svg figure for a #Wikipedia article. I have an alignment problem due to the #font being not available everywhere. Is there a way to right-align text boxes independently of the actual font being used? I want them to remain editable as text. I'm using #inkscape.

In my browser (Chrome on Ubuntu), the text is misaligned (image 1). Image 2 is the screenshot of the relevant SVG code.

From what I can gather, text-anchor:end is indeed what we want to ensure right-alignment but it's not working. Any idea on how to make this work?

Twitter is 56.4 % men and 43.6 % women. For comparison, my latest gendered followers are 36 males (73 %) and 13 females. Over the same period, my followees are 45 males (79 %), 12 females. I would have guessed 80/20.
