@loke I like optimizing stuff when programming, sometimes a bit too much, but have to agree with this. When you really need performance, change programming language.
One problem I see a lot with Python is that the language purists have gone a bit too far, developers pushed by linters (e.g. 'pylint') to use comprehensions and other elegant solutions which in some cases creates unnecessary (or undetected) loops within loops (effectively making the code O(N**2)) because using many variables is somehow a bad coding style. I agree source code should be readable, but there has to be a balance with performance.
@freemo Assuming you mean the poor hating the rich and not the rich hating the poor which happens in all forms exploitation for profit. Hate is a strong word, but one person regarding another person lesser than themselves based on their wealth alone.
The majority of rich people were born into their wealth which gave them more opportunities starting out, as well as most poor people were born in poverty which gave them less opportunities in life. There are exceptions, but those are few.
I don't think this is about hating rich people, but rather about being trapped in a system designed to give more power and control to rich people so they can exploit more poor people for profit. People in general knows that money brings power, and when treated unfair it's natural to blame those in power.
Imagine for a moment that you are poor, you have experienced family members die because your family couldn't afford proper medical care, and every day is a struggle to earn enough money to eat. You hear the news about rich people dying on an adventure cruise that cost millions, willingly taking risks to enjoy themselves and perhaps have something to brag about at the next cocktail party . How would you feel about it?

@niclas I don't like when a government treat their citizens as children, this is often the case in Sweden. Maybe what you describe is the effect of that going on for too long?
@niclas Not sure if people in general are "meek" in Sweden, but definitely the politicians ruling the country. BTW: I've been away since 2001, still not back, but visited a few years back.
Someone has compromised a bunch of Minecraft plugin developer accounts, and has injected info-stealing malware into a number of widely used plugins for the game. Apparently, this is widespread enough that some involved in the investigation are urging people to just stay off Minecraft for now. Also, it sounds like they need some help.
