@loke If you don't get any crash logs, and if this is a laptop. From experience, I would guess the motherboard temp is causing GFX (and CPU if combined package) BGA circuit to flex slightly against board (PCB) which over time eventually leads to solder cracks in the solder balls under the BGA. Common problem in laptops. If this is the case, and you have warranty, then manufacturer will replace the motherboard for you. If no warranty (usually the case), then you need to send the motherboard to be reballed by professional who repair. There are temporary fixes where they just reheat the board, but then it will only last like a month before the problem is back.
@loke Anything in the /var/crash directory (or core dumps elsewhere)?

@amolith If you aren't in control of the encryption keys you have no security. Smartphones are trackers by design, granted, even trackers running software of choice can be useful. My advice is to not bring the phone when you want privacy.
Oh I so love this comment from Reddit:
Computer Science had fantastically approachable textbooks with clear, simple diagrams, as well as practical examples that you could really implement yourself to solve real problems. I noticed however that while the research papers written in the 60s and 70s had a clear, easily readable style, around the late 90s they become riddled with made-up pseudocode unique to each paper and at least 50% Greek letters, because deep in ours hearts we all recognise that we're not proper computer scientists until we learn to program in ancient Greek like the great philosophers did thousands of years ago.

I don't think he deserved to be downvoted.

@loke The only windows I tolerate these days is running in a VM, so its cries for attention in the form of updates, patronizing error messages, phoning home tendencies and general self-importance is nicely contained where it can be easily ignored.
Latest progress on my programming language: Some basic APL functionality has been implemented (such as ⍴, ⍳, ¨).
The main thing that sets my language apart from APL is that it's lazy evaluated. That is essential when working with large arrays. An operation such as ⍉ or two-argument ⍴ are very cheap in terms of CPU usage.
I've also started building a simple user interface for it.
@loke Also like the awesome classic light-blue striped continuous paper style ("pyjama") in the interpreter. Looking forward to try your programming language.
@loke I tried some test code for primes with GNU APL, dense syntax (even if a bit slow), interesting, first time I tried:

@freemo OK, thanks for the explanation.
@zlaxy Who knows, maybe this discussion will help them improve their behaviour, stranger things have happened.
