Hello people of the Fediverse! Some of you may have heard that a new Mastodon client, Ivory, is in development for iOS (and Mac!). This is true! Tapbots is going all in on Mastodon and we hope this place continues to grow and thrive. Tweetbot will continue to be developed alongside Ivory as a lot of code is shared. A new Mac version of Tweetbot and Ivory are also currently in development and we are working hard on getting those towards a public beta state.
We're currently testing an alpha version of Ivory for iOS. As we continue to make progress we will expand access to it. Just follow this account and @tapbots to hear about it first!
We truly appreciate all the love and support in this community! Here’s an XDR-sized desktop background (wallpaper) to hold you over. 🐘

@narthur Oh, man. I thought moving instances was supposed to bring that stuff along. Dang.
@jchyip Don’t worry: everyone else is skeptical, too.
@Pat @SweaterVest thanks for the background info.

@Dustinson Though it does not affect me directly very much, this possible outcome gives me hope for our nation’s future.

@Dustinson Me?
Seriously though, fedi was *built* by furries, trans and queer folk, disabled neurodivergent people.
This is *the reason* the culture here is what it is. Why CWs are a thing. Why image descriptions are a thing. Why privacy matters here. Why moderation tools not only exist, but are usable — and used.
If you had joined and asked yourself "wow, how come this place is so chill and kinda… nice?" — that's thanks to all the nice people from communities some people call "weird".
So #KeepFediWeird.
@SandyMamoli Ha! I had friends of many stripes.
@SandyMamoli LOL
@SandyMamoli Did you attend AIS? OMG. I was in 11th grade that year. Long blond hair and lots of heavy metal t-shirts.
I may just have to go find my yearbook now...
