@mur2501 I'd have expected Scotland to be Haggis! (Though I'd love to try that someday)

@mur2501 Checked wikipedia. 'Hoofdkaas' apparently. Doesn't look something I've ever tried. I'm suspecting it might be a southern thing.

@trinsec
ohh yeah
Netherlands cuisine should be seanwater :ablobblewobble:

@mur2501 Almost right. We have fish.

Care for a salted herring? It's raw fish. Delicious.

@mur2501 I love prawns, gambas and shrimp.

Love love love.

But I don't think people consider them culinary horrors in general. ;)

@mur2501
Most of those are nothing horrorable at all. What's disgusting in dressed herring, in blood sausages, in salted pig fat? I tried surströmming (swedish fermented herring), it smells funny but tastes delicious and in time you start considering the smell as just something interesting and spicy. Lutefisk — who on Earth started this bullshit that it's something disgusting? I tried it, it's just fish with pretty neutral taste and smell.
Most of these "world's most horrorable dishes" surveys are just ridiculous.
