What a weird world this is where wars and violence is easily found on the internet while they are busy in hiding the sex and porn :blobcatupsidedown:

@mur2501 yup sometimes I don't understand if what is so bad about sex?

@seek
The bad is not about sex, the bad is about society :ablobcatwink:

@mur2501 haha yeah society make us think sex is something artificial. Specially in countries like ours.

@mur2501 goto Europe and it's the exact opposite. You'll see sex on TV but not violent movies 😊📺

@Wetrix
That's not Europe now :blobcatmlem:
Also you have not seen Czechs yet :blobfoxcomfysmirk:

@freemo
I am a cat not a goose :cate:
If those Canadian geese pecks in your butthole then don't blame me :blobhiss:
@Wetrix

@mur2501 @freemo wait what 😅?

The UK is European. It's Brussels who decides what's European is it not?

Wait how did Canada get into this I'm lost 🍁

@freemo @mur2501 oh OK 😅

Ok and where did the Canadian butt hole pecking geese come from? 🐥🤣

@Wetrix

Who doesnt know about the butt hole pecking canadian geese... clearly you arent getting all your memos!

@mur2501

@Wetrix @mur2501 @freemo The ancient Greek decided: everything to the east was Asia, over the water was Africa, and to the North was Europe.

@frank87 @freemo @mur2501 was it the Greeks that did that? Interesting! Thank you! 😊

@Wetrix

Europe was first defined by the Homeric Hymn an anctient greek text from 700 BC or so. It defined one of the shores as the border of europe, Aegean sea shoreline somewhere.

The first real determination of asia vs europe and a more complete description of the borders in reference to "Europe" as a term comes a little later from Hecataeus and Anaximander about 100 years later in 600 BC. They defined the border between Asia and europe, one of the rivers I dont remember the name of right now.

The border with africa was kinda already defined in 700BC though no real mention of Africa itself. first mention of Africa specifically would be the Book of jubilees written around 100 BC, it is the first mention of Africa as well as redefining the western and eastern borders slightly.

@frank87 @mur2501

@freemo @frank87 @mur2501 i really like history and have watched alot about Greece and the Roman empire etc but didn't know that!

Time for sleep I suppose. Night!

@Wetrix

Its an easy fact to miss, probably just never covered it in any of that. Sleep well.

@frank87 @mur2501

@Wetrix
According to my high school, the ancient Greek most often meant present day Anatolia when talking about Asia. They had colonies there.
(Interesting fact: best preserved ancient Greek colony is Paestum, in Italy. It was abandoned and rediscovered when a motorway was built).
@freemo @mur2501

@frank87 @freemo @mur2501 interesting indeed! I have a fascination with ancient cultures and have watched and tag about them extensively 😊 I was always watching wildlife and ww2 documentaries growing up and anything to do with ancient civilizations 👌🏻

On that note I need sleep, good night fediverse 🌙

@mur2501 Intriguing perspective.

We still carry legacy western-culture norms from the Middle Ages. Repress sexual desire and procreative instincts but champion violence. One is seen as shameful and lack of self control like a dog lacking decorum, and the other seen as courage, pushing past fear.
Strangely, both actions create a similar neurobio response. The behavioral response to (sexual intimacy) is considered vulnerable or weak and the other (maniacal aggression) is consider powerful.

@EVoCeO
It's a complicated path by which we have reached this stage of been binded by morals, thinkings and standards.
