#vss365 Very Short Story
The mansion creaked in a way that said the cobwebs had evicted all the more interesting signs of being uninhabited. Pat and the Gang started recording, their parents were both in the audience and most of it, if their upfront hopes for prosperity failed there was always posterity on the backside.
"This is Ghostwatch coming to you live from The Unspoken House and we want to know.... Are you a believer?"
A tremendous crash sounded as an apparition wafted up through the floorboards and a comfortable panic settled over the Gang. They took their cue from Pat, who wasted no time on deliberation or sensibility and instead threw the microphone and bolted. Between the great racks in the library (so bookish the innuendo was lost), bouncing through the ballroom (too airheaded to appreciate itself), and finally roaring out the front terrace (who finally appreciated a funny name) they ran before pausing in a panting mass.
A button nose led a face with wide, if partially transparent, doe eyes through the door and the cutest ghoulie the Gang ever saw (though they'd never seen one) said, "I'm a believer; do you believe in yourselves?"

The Rule of Hands
Being able to understand what you are doing with your hands in a situation. The hands themselves aren't necessarily important to the situation, but are a tool to visualize at a more granular level.
Example: "Let's work more closely with our clients to boost sales!"
So what are we doing with our hands? Are they holding phones as we make calls? Are they writing emails? Are they gesturing to a presentation? What are our hands doing when we "work more closely"?
Until you pass the rule of hands, you don't have a plan you have a buzzword.

The six nights next to amber sands that he booked begin by unpacking the baggage. It was the same beach, same resort, but could he make the same magic from their honeymoon those carefree years ago? It was their first vacation alone since the kids and he wanted perfection.
"Nothing gold can stay," she says laying her ring softly on the nightstand. The facade is cracking and she sees a path to freedom. No more nostalgia, no more pretense, no more perfect life locking in her choices. She turns, and behind her the rising tide rages against the sand.
Are you ready for melancholy??? Let's all have a good, drunken cry

Writing #haiku is weird. Sometimes I'll visualize a perfect scene, or catch a perfect phrase... but even that little is far too much to compress into 17 syllables.
It works best when my sense of the subject is hazy and I don't have a clear vision of an end product.
Something something something about solids not being compressible, but gases fitting the shape as needed, except I've drunk too much to make it sound classy
