Look at this fellow
Ignorant of what awaits
Once he lets fate drive
Re-watched season 1 over the weekend. Just so damn good.
Maybe someday I'll give season 2 another try, but I've basically written it out of my head cannon
Peel soul from body
Spread me across the cosmos
Dance from sleeve to sleeve
Wet nose pokes playful
Shaggy frame drawing me out
Walk me awake, boy

Here's another that has been lingering. It was 80% written in a kayak with the NA Spouse last summer. Not much structure, but I like the sound of it
It is dawn somewhere, but not yet here. Not now
Here magic still lives, dappling in the shadows
Of the fog hanging low over the lake
I hear the sound of a craft over lilies
And the sun rises. It's you and the light is shining
She bends low, hovering, to bless a flower
and a bumblebee comes drifting from the pollen
Heavy already with his offering
The queen is waiting his arrival.
Disappearing behind a bush and we are alone.
A frog thrums out off key and his orchestra begins to tune
The robin calls chirri chirriu when baton strikes podium
A fish percusses the lake surface
She sighs, a gasp stretched long
As the last magic is burned off the lake to music
#vss365 Very Short Story
A west wind gathered moisture off the lake. Emma admired the aplomb of the figurines she hung on the tree. Not a single frown about their mandatory seasonal duties. She heard the walls creak as the wind picked up outside.
"Sweetie, are you packed and ready for our flights in the morning?"
Oh, please, she prayed, please, save me from this trip. Outside, the lake, so recently lifted into the sky, began to fall in fat, heavy flakes.
Hang on sleepily
Familiar strangers surround
Mornings on the metro
#vss365 Very Short Story (just under the buzzer!)
"How does this magic work anyway?"
"You can't question irreducible complexity, Sam"
"Does it have to do with the many worlds hypothesis?"
The small globe of light between Sam's fingertips winked out of existence, leaving a redish afterimage that followed Sam's eyes where they looked.
"Told you that questioning it was a bad idea."
"How do I bring it back?"
"You logicked it out of existence, so you'll need to illogic it back, maybe by clapping your hands and saying you believe in magic"
