Me when I first learnt about type hints and type checkers:
Wow, so powerful for writing better, cleaner, safer code! Never again will I write

```
Instead, I shall write:
```
def f(x: Any, y: Any, z: Any) -> Any: ...
```
mypy reports no errors... we're good to go!

This is really worrying. Arresting journalists just for doing their job is something we would expect in Putin's Russia or Xi's China.
We should really not be seeing this in a western democracy.
