@tommorris No, we didn’t. She was always awful. Almost the archetypal twin-set christofascist.

@tommorris May they suffer a terrible demise due to a dirty telephone.

@rjblaskiewicz I’ve never heard “grafter” in that context. In the UK it signifies someone who works assiduously.

I miss Web 1.0. You click a link, you get to the website, you read the content. What a concept.

"Welcome, but be good!"

Does he not know how passports work? You need passports to leave the country, dumbass. This makes no sense.

@xtaldave Are you forgetting the old mantra: “he’s a fucking idiot”?

@arclight I choose to read this as “JS-driven front end”.

@xtaldave Those extra few minutes of Schadenfreude will be worth their weight in gold-plated toilets.

@tommorris Actually, thinking about it for a further 5 seconds, Camacho had many more superior attributes than the odious real-life imitation.

@tommorris Crew’s Camacho had infinitely more charisma if not more nous than the orange buffoon.

I am trying to get my head around the concept of an "algorithm-free website" courtesy of politicians and non-technical journalists.

Consider: the database evaluates SQL and returns data without any indexes or sorting algorithms. The webserver encrypts traffic over TLS without any cryptographic algorithms. The content is compressed, but without the use of any of those pesky compression algorithms like gzip, brotli, zstd or xz. CSS rules evaluated without any algorithms.

Magic at work, truly.
