@freemo @taz meh, not sure about that. His account is so big that its statistically relevant. 116 million last I knew. Remember, everyone that hates elon also follows him.
@freemo @taz perhaps, not anymore or less than anyone else's poll. Most people are bubbled. Most people don't follow people they don't like, but most people that don't like elon follow him
There is no doubt many who dont like him follow him.. but to think that number will create a true random sampling of the population is far from a reality.
@taz
@freemo @taz that's possibly true, but again, so would any poll done by an individual on social media. So in that case, maybe delete the poll option entirely. Or polls in general, since they never really achieve an unbiased sampling, in one form or another.
Perhaps he should have done it from the admin twitter if there is one, that's followed by everyone. But if the results were the same, people would just say its cuz all the democrats left. Polls are dumb anyway. And mob rule shouldn't make ethical decisions.
Having polls are very biased, and yea, you dont get accurate data. It doesnt mean you have to delete polls, they are fun and useful for knowing what your followers think... It is only dangerous when you use them as a means to assume what thte general population thinks, especially when you act on it.
@taz
@freemo @taz he would have brought him back no matter what I think, but yeah, I agree with that
That much is probably true.. my guess is he knew the bias of his followers and knew the poll would lean towards reinstating as a result.. He used it as a way to make it seem like he was making a democratic decision and hopefully reduce the backlash.
@taz
@freemo @taz that's probable. Win win
@HikerFromVA @freemo @taz your instance is back up! I would have tagged u but it was pointless a few mins ago lmao
@obi
It doesnt help that the poll was on elon's page, and he clearly was followed by way more trump supporters than is normal.
