I'm bringing this up as I saw someone complaining about it.

Apparently, drugs were over-prescribed and now the U.S. is over-correcting for it by making it harder to get pain meds at all.

As is evident, that isn't working well either (as it creates the opposite problem).

Speaking to a Japanese friend, it did become evident that the LGBT pronoun thing isn't very relevant there, as every common language construct is gender neutral.
