What I can't figure out is why Biden's secret deep state weather control bureau is now pumping hundreds of times as much energy as the entire US electrical grid produces in order to beef Milton back up to a Category 5 just to hit Bermuda.
I'm still amused by profiles on that other site that read something like "Had enough of Musk, moved to Threads: <link>" and similar.

I'm trying to work out when the MAGA crowd became Socialists. Suddenly they're all about redistribution of wealth. Shouldn't they be berating hurricane victims for not buying enough insurance?

I've seen insane claims about chemtrails and radar being used to create and direct hurricanes.
Scientific illiteracy is a real problem in this country. The amount of energy in even a moderate hurricane exceeds the total electrical generating capacity of the United States, by at least two orders of magnitude. A hurricane contains as much energy as a nuclear war. The idea that we could secretly be generating them with radar stations is ... words fail.

The speaker of the house just wrote a letter to Zelenskyy demanding the resignation of his ambassador.
It is in no way appropriate for the speaker to write such a letter. He does not represent the US, that falls to the executive branch He does not even speak for the legislative branch inasmuch as he cannot make representations about its will on any subject it hasn't actually voted on.

@EugeneMcParland Free expression is all very well, but his belligerence brings it to the level of public disorder.
However, such is the nature of Japanese culture that he's probably doing more good than harm. This kind of public spectacle is not well-regarded there to say the least, and he's doing more to bring disrepute to his own positions than an opponent could ever accomplish.

Octavia Butler's terrific 1998 novel, Parable of the Talents, depicts a dystopian US ruled by fundamentalists. President Jarret seeks to rid the country of non-Christian beliefs, using the slogan.... "Make America Great Again."
And I miss her.
I've come to the conclusion that while hummingbirds aren't particularly afraid of anything, they don't like the situation to change while they're at the feeder.
I can be working in the yard on a weekend like this, a hummingbird will fly right up to me, look me over, and then go to the feeder. But if I walk away it will fly away. If I'm not there when it arrives and then walk up, it will fly away.
But as long as nothing changes after it's cased the joint, it's fine with pretty much anything. Including a cat sitting four feet away and not even trying to keep still.
I always thought a Loomer was someone who looms menacingly behind their opponent during a debate.
Okay, that's enough for the week. Off to the park to catch and eat geese. Who's with me?
