@punkymcmunky There is a lot to discover on the fediverse, I have been here full time since I started about a month ago, love it.
Got about 4 times the number of posts here, in one month, that I had on twitter, since 2011.
Still sad to even check there, people don't react at all, too much going on.
Here is much more friendly and fun, there are knowledgeable people to talk to. Great place for geeks like us.

Learning new things, there's Mastodon, where we are here, plus other projects.
To share video, like YT. To share music, photos, blog writings.
Each instance is independant and has it's own theme, rules and 'feel'.
Ours here is sci tech eng math, but not strictly enforced as mandatory for each post.
I volunteered for a moderation job that is opening now, and have been nominated by our sys admin, @freemo, Dr Freeman in civilian life.
