💔 Два гения, два эго и одно ухо
В 1888 году Ван Гог абсолютно истерзан жизнью, одиночеством и непонятостью. Он снимает жилье в Арле, называет его «желтым домом» и хочет собрать в нем художников в арт-коммуну. Итак, Гоген приезжает в октябре 1888 года. И понимает: Ван Гог — невыносимый сосед. Вечно орёт, не спит, пишет по десять картин за ночь и устраивает философские дебаты в духе "а есть ли вообще синий цвет?". Гоген же любил контроль, границы и здоровый ночной сон. А внезапно просыпаться посреди ночи от того, что на тебя молча смотрит стоящий над тобой Ван Гог — не любил.
Не то чтобы Гоген был из тех, кто при первых признаках драмы выходит из чата, но тут проняло и его. Уже в декабре 1888 он принимает решение о скором возвращении в Париж. В ночь перед отъездом страсти накаляются, очередная ссора перерастает в скандал, и происходит кровавый финал этой истории, покрытый тайной, временем и французской полицией. То ли Ван Гог бросился на Гогена с бритвой, а потом в раскаянии отрезал себе ухо, то ли Гоген, защищаясь, отсек другу ухо рапирой. Мнения экспертов расходятся, но — факт: часть уха отсечена, Гоген отправляется в Париж, Ван Гог — в психиатрическую лечебницу. А что же ухо?
