Sometimes it can feel wrong taking breaks when deadlines are looming but it is so important to give yourself time to stop! Listen to your body, it knows best what it needs 🧡

Confidence can be the difference between aiming for better than your best and trying just not to replicate your worst.

When I’m working toward a goal and it starts to feel difficult, I can choose to view that as a sign of my weakness or I can choose to view it as a sign of how much I’m growing. And, it’s a great reminder that realizing that growth also requires intentional rest.

Experiencing failure in research does not mean that you are a failure.

Experiencing failure often means that you are trying something that has not been tried before, and that makes you a researcher.

As a leader, sometimes the most important thing to know is what things you still don’t know.

What questions do you still need to ask and what do you still need to learn in order to make an informed decision?

I was doing the same but I just realized I needed one in the server and that's it.😀

Hey new people and those thinking of joining, you do NOT need to sign up on huge servers!

You can follow and interact with people on any server from any server, the servers are connected.

It would really, really help the network right now if you could sign up on medium or small size servers. You will still be able to follow and interact with whoever you want, and the network as a whole will work much better.

A good safe place for beginners to find servers to join is joinmastodon.org/servers

Empathy is a crucial part of science communication.

Great communicators can put themselves in the place of their audience and understand why someone would care about the topic, what they already know, and what is most important for them to learn.

You have to train your mind to be stronger than your emotions or else you will lose yourself every time.

One of the challenging things about research is that effort doesn't always result in measurable progress.

However, well-directed effort always results in learning, and in the long run, that can be the key to achieving your goals.
