Wasted what? Good experiences always come by, if you wish you can catch them, just be open to them.
I hope you learned some great stuff during this year!

I advise everyone in University to do an Erasmus experience, probably you will be studying and learning much less than in your home university, but you'll gain a lot of personal experience that is great!
Consider looking into how to do one.
