Finally I can take screenshots easily on Linux! (Yes, it's always been possible, but I now realized how to do it)
I downloaded the software maim and bound it to a key combination.
When I press super + s now I can draw a rectangle and a screenshot of that will automatically be copied to my clipboard.
That's perfect as I can then paste it in Zettlr easily.
No more trying to save graphs and tables from pdfs, welcome to my life screenshot utility!

@rastinza

Which desktop are you using? That doesn't work with Xfce.

@icedquinn

@Pat @rastinza it does work on xfce4 and cinnamon cause i used those :blobcatwaitwhat:

@icedquinn

I tried all comobations of alt, ctrl, shift, "windows key" + s, but it doesn't work. I don't know what the "super key" is.

@rastinza

@Pat @rastinza oh sorry i misread.
rastinza set up a custom key binding to trigger maim.

@icedquinn

ok, a custom keybinding.

What is maim? Is that related to mime?

@Pat
Just a simple software to take screenshots.
Not full of features, but it's perfect for me since I generally just want to take a clip from a pdf as quickly as possible.
