Today, a trip to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, a fantastic place to visit in the North of England, especially with weather as good as today's. A current special exhibition is A Tree In The Wood by Italian artist Giuseppe Penone. It's stunning work.
I work in a much derided building that’s long overdue demolition... it’s still nice to find the little architectural details. I love this little gap halfway up the stairs to let light through, something characteristically 60s about this.

Linux developers threaten to pull "kill switch"
Most of the internet could be affected as some Linux devs threaten to rescind code in response to CoC controversy.
THIS IS GOOD NEWS
Linux powers the internet, the Android in your pocket, and perhaps even some of your household appliances. A controversy over politics is now seeing some of its developers threatening to withdraw the license to all of their code, potentially destroying or making the whole Linux kernel unusable for a very long time.

The MPAA and the cable industry have a monopoly on mass media, exploiting not only consumers but low wage actors and stage crew.
The only ethical way to consume mass media is to share it.
I've recently noticed almost all of my toots which should contain the word "than", instead says "that". I blame my phone, which has also decided that when I write "did" what I really wanted was "didn't" which somewhat changes the meaning.

@h3artbl33d There are a lot of ZFS myths that need to die. No filesystem is perfect, and yes, you can lose data with ZFS. You can get bad performance with ZFS. It's not a magic wand that makes your system flawless forever.
It's copy-on-write, flexible, integrity-checking, device managing awesome sauce. If you don't want that you don't have to use it.
But if you take the plunge it can also totally save your bacon. I can't understate the usefulness of ZFS: it really is better than anything else.
