Fun fact of the day: The smell at the pool is not the smell of chlorine. It is the smell of the chemicals produced when chlorine reacts with urine. It is the smell of chloromines, which is the result of chlorine interacting with ammonia, which is in large quantities in urine.

Do you know how fast the reaction is? Would one typically expect most of ammonia to leave the pool by evaporation or by this reaction?
