Day #050 of #100DaysToOffload and I reach the point of no return.
@ggarron that is interesting as one other thing which is important is trying to keep the post names the same so if any have been shared, they are still clickable in the years to come.
That said, so many people seem to be on the 'pretty URL' bandwagon the platforms I am looking at all seems to offer the 'no extension' option.
For me, the only benefit to not using an extension is I have also been an extension junkie over the years. I've built .html, .htm, .php, .asp, .jsp and back when it first launched, I even used Cold Fusion for my site.
@ggarron I’ll definitely keep the domain.
One of the key things which sees me use Write.as, Ghost, WP or other is to have a consistent domain so when the mood to try a different platform strikes, I can still be found. 🙂

Posts about your children matter. Remember that if you post it, the likelihood of someone finding it, even far in the future, is likely.
Making a conscious effort to treat their online identity with respect is a great way to ensure what YOU post does not come back to haunt them.
