things I learned from bin Laden:

* decentralize operations and ensure for redundancy
* no matter how much money you have, dress and talk like the militant forces you need to help you
* maintain a mysterious allure, and keep them guessing
* encrypted radios are so much better than cellphones if you're able to reach high ground
Also - encrypt your porn collection with your plans, just in case of SEAL raid.
@decafgeek I love that of all the things to be remembered for, anime porn is near the top of the list for bin Laden.

@7 @decafgeek @skells Nearly all the files from Bin Laden's compound (less the absolutely massive stash of pirated movies and etc. found in it) are hosted on the CIA's website, he was definitely a connoisseur of certain things (see also my comment about him and erotic mahjong)

... incidentally, whenever I need to install Office 2003, I'll just use the MSDN ISO and when it asks for a product key I just do something like "office 2003 site:cia.gov" and it links me to a page from the Bin Laden archive containing the serial number I want
@skells @decafgeek There are hundreds of FOIA requests and a few lawsuits you can search up, which confirm its existence, as well as the famed photo of bin Laden in front of a television playing what can be construed as anime if you squint, but the CIA is very ardent about keeping the majority of his porn a secret.

@7 @decafgeek unless he had a hankering for detailed blueprints of advanced hardware or senators in compromising situations, I suspect there's nothing too wild there or it would have been touted very loudly

@7 @decafgeek ...unless his family just had a word with bush

@skells @decafgeek I honestly suspected there was a wealth of bacha photos at the time, and didn't give it much thought until now with more than one person reminding me of it.

@7 @decafgeek > searches bacha

yeah I feel unclean now let's discuss something else
