latin is a dead language because there is no consensus on translating anything complicated, there is just a process by which you assert a translation inevitably someone with bigger frontal lobes comes out of nowhere to tell you why you're wrong, until it happens to them, and so on into eternity. no one has ever concluded a latin translation argument.
