For some unknow reason, I can't find the full video of this version. Some source suggested this is 2014, where 春野寿美礼 shares the character with another actress. But this youtube video suggested this is 2016.

It depends. If someone is speaking English and subtitles are English, I'm fine with it.
But if someone is speaking Japanese, where I can't fully understand but do understand some words occasionally, and the subtitle is English, I find that it is extremely confusing. However, if the actress is singing like in the video, I'm ok with the subtitle since my brain can't catch the word.
@skyblond Mmm, interesting. As a deaf person I never found it very jarring. Unless they're speaking a language that is fairly close-ish enough to my language, like Swedish or German, that I can lipread a few things. But if I can't lipread, it doesn't bother me, heh.
Some of my classmates don't have this issue. But some do.
I think it's more related to how well you know a language. Normally, I don't require a subtitle to watch/enjoy videos from the English world. And sometimes I talk to myself in English when I'm writing code (which I think it's a English environment despite I'm a Chinese)
When learning languages, before it can be self-explanatory (like explaining an English word in English), I need to translate them into the language I know (normally, it's Chinese).
It applies to Japanese, where I catch some words from the sentences, knowing what it means in Chinese, but the whole sentence is represented in English insubtitles, which I don't translate them into Chinese anymore, the issue occurred.
I tried to learn Germany in English on duolingo, and I was perfectly fine when a Germany video had English subtitles. But still ok if it has Chinese subtitles, where my brain just gives up and doesn't care about the Germany voice. (However, I only learned about 2 weeks before I switched back to Japanese)
After I shared this video, I dig into the Japanese world, where I can't understand a single sentence (I do understand some characters by random chance).
Anyway, it's different sets of casts. Toho has two sets of cast for モーツァルト！(Mozart!) in 2014, where the most popular one is 井上芳雄 with 香寿たつ, has a lot of resources available to download. Another set is 山崎育三郎 with 春野寿美礼, which I do like but seems rare to find.
Toho still sells discs today, but 12100 Yen (around 100 USD)? It is too expensive for me (BlueRay without Chinese subtitles, which I can't understand a word).
