Just learnt another English phrase: throw up. I thought vomit is "throw off" since every time I vomit, I face down instead of up.
Can't imagine what it looks like when you face up when vomiting.
Ehh
@skyblond by the way the up part is because the vomit is coming up from your stomach.
@freemo Oh, now it makes sense to me.
@skyblond What would it be in your native language? (Mandarin?)
@freemo In Chinese it's literally called vomit. It's called 吐 (verb), not only means vomit, but can be used to express something like spit and expectorate. It means to get something out of your mouth (just using your mouth, not with your hand).
So I think that's quiet a big difference.
@skyblond in that case it explains why you choose the wording you did. So interesting how language effects how we see the world like that.
@skyblond yea i didnt want to correct you, but i did notice that.
