Today's random card from the Druid Craft Tarot deck is the Five of Swords.
A warrior appears to have beaten another who retreats in the background. The victor has all 5 swords.
When this card comes up in a reading I see this as a warning. You may have your little victories, but at what cost?
If this comes up in the Thoughts/ Decisions row then I see it as thinking of what any success was at the expense of. Did you not spend time on something else that could now do with your attention?
If this comes up in the Feelings and Emotions row then I warn to be careful of whose nose gets put out of joint. Did someone else try the same and fail? Did they lose because you won? Think of the feelings of others in your actions.
If this comes up in the Physical and Material world row, then consider if it's a good thing to cling onto any succesees or to share good fortune with others. Could some of a little windfall go to help others?
Of course you may interpret the card differently.

One of my passions is the game, Blood Bowl.
I have played this since it was ceated in the mid-80s by Games Workshop, it is a humorous mix of fantasy tabletop battles with American Football. I even briefly worked on the game when I worked for GW some 30+ years ago.
I have probably about 40 teams of all available races with some duplicates. I paint my own miniatures which come unpainted and unassembled.
I occasionally attend tournaments and play in a league at a local club.

Antelope Island harbor on the Great Salt Lake. This used to be full of water and boats, as harbors usually are. Now the water is so far back you can barely see it in the far corner of this photo. This year the lake hit another record low level.

An oldy, but popped up again for me.

As a Brit I am disappointed to have lost CNN News on my TV to get my fix of US political news when I switched TV provider from Sky to Virgin Media (though I could still get an online feed). The last 2 days though I have been impressed with NBC News which has replaced it in my TV listings.

I also play - exploring the beauty of the galaxy. When using my VR headset it is so incredibly immersive.

Well, I’m slowly getting a little more confident and paddling out deeper into the Mastosphere. Trousers now rolled up to the knees and the water not feeling as cold…

Here's what nobody explains about the UK's trade deal with NZ: stuff we sell to NZ was already almost tariff-free. Eliminating all remaining tariffs saves only £27 million a year.

But NZ sells lots of agricultural products, and the UK has hefty tariffs on those to protect our market.

Or rather the UK used to. But not any more.

As a result of the trade deal, NZ farmers will be able to send unlimited goods tariff-free after a phase-in period.

And the Tories gave away much more than the EU did.

Today's card from the Druid Craft Tarot deck is .. randomly.. the Two of Pentacles.
A woman stands at a cliff edge juggling, with a shipwreck in the background.
If this card comes up in a reading it's about not trying to do too much at once and focus upon what is important.
If this comes up in the Thoughts/ Decisions row it can mean don't try to solve everything at once. Choose one thing.
If it appears in the Feelings/ Emotions row it can mean you are spreading yourself too thin with those you know. Devote time to the one who needs it most or you need most.
If this appears in the Physical and Material world row it can mean stop with all the projects or hobbies. Pick one for a while.
(You might interpret this differently)

The decentralized nature of this place is really cool. I'm followed by award winning university historians. I'm also followed by Finnish metalheads. Something for everyone!

In addition to fantasy I have occasionally played in 1920s-50s Horror LARP. Think H.P. Lovecraft meets Jeeves and Wooster.
Here I am in the role of a butler at a stately home in Devon, England.

Ooh, another bandwagon! And a LARP one this time. Here is me playing Ellen Terry in a LARP set in 1895 (or thereabouts)

UK Politics

You've got until the morning to revel in your Gavin Williamson-related schadenfreude (Gavinfreude?), but then we need to turn our attention back to the far-right zealot in the Home Office I'm afraid

And, indeed, whatever came of those named day questions put in by Labour about ministerial use of private emails across Government. The replies are already overdue ...👀mirror.co.uk/news/politics/lab
